June

Cabaret Fest – the largest cabaret festival in New England! Everything from Broadway to swing music is celebrated at a variety of venues around town.

Women of Color Weekend – a pride event to elevate LGBTQIA women of color, trans-people of color, non-binary people of color, gender-fluid people of color, and their supporters. Find out more about this event here.

Provincetown Pride – celebrate the LGBTQ+ community at Provincetown’s annual pride celebration. These few days of celebration include parties, events, beach activities, and more.

Pride Wellness Retreat – An all-inclusive gay men’s retreat that includes yoga, meals, accommodations, excursions, bike rentals, & more.

Provincetown Coastal Rowing Regatta & Beach Games – celebrate life on the Cape Cod shore with this rowing regatta that brings a ton of fun and activity to the Provincetown area. This is a fun activity for the entire family to watch and participate in.

Provincetown International Film Festival – Celebrate film from around the world at this annual festival which has been going on for many years. There are a variety of showings and events around town that everyone is sure to love. Check out the full schedule.

Frolic: Men of Color Weekend – A celebration of diversity, inclusion, and the freedom to frolic! Learn more.

Portuguese Festival & Blessing of the Fleet – Celebrate the Portuguese heritage of Provincetown with events, a parade, and more.

July

Independence Week – one of the biggest celebrations in Provincetown, this annual event is a week of fun celebrating our country! Enjoy the parade (and all the many fun costumes), parties, bar events, family activities, and more.

Bear Week – this week of fun and celebration for the LGBTQ+ and bear community has become a Cape Cod tradition like no other! There are a variety of events around town for drinks, food, dancing, and fun to check out.

Cape Cod Dance Festival – a celebration of all things dance with parties, events, performances, and more.

Girl Splash – A week of parties, comedians, shows, and more to celebrate women. Check out the full schedule here.

Family Week – The largest celebration of LGBTQ+ families and their friends in the world! Fun activities can be found all around town for kids of all ages. Learn more.

August

Whale Week – An annual event sponsored by Center for Coastal Studies which features informational sessions and fun for the whole family.

Provincetown Carnival – the biggest celebration of the year in Provincetown! Carnival has a different theme each year and is a week of fun with a parade, events, shows, beach parties, and more! You don’t want to miss this week in town.

Provincetown Jazz Festival – all things Jazz! This annual celebration has been going on for almost 20 years and is a great combination of concerts and events all week. You can see the full schedule here.

September

Labor Day Weekend – Celebrate the end of summer in Provincetown! This weekend is a great time filled with fun and fireworks – as well as events around town.

Swim for Life – a Provincetown tradition which helps raise money and honor the heroes of the community. You can check out the schedule of events here.

Cape Cod Classic – NGPA’s annual celebration of aviation professionals and enthusiasts. This week brings in a fun group of airline professionals and those who are interested in this profession for parties and events.

Annual Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival – a weeklong annual celebration of the theater scene that is so a part of the Provincetown history and community.

Pet Appreciation Week – Come have fun with your furry friends at this celebration of pets! Stay at our pet-friendly property and enjoy fun around town – at the dog park and other places.

October

Mate’s Leather Weekend – This annual celebration of all things leather brings a fun dynamic to town with LGBTQ+ themed parties and events around town.

ArtProvincetown Festival – A weekend celebrating the wonderful art scene in Provincetown with exhibitions, receptions, and more!

Washashore Festival – Provincetown Brewing Co.’s “Washashore Music & Arts Festival” is a celebration of Provincetown’s unique soul and energy – along with some amazing beer and music.

Monumental Yard Sale Weekend – Each year residences and businesses offer their wares throughout town so you can find something unique or get a great deal! One person’s trash is another’s treasure!

Women’s Week – a huge celebration filled with events, parties, workshops, and more where women come to meet and greet.

FanFair (Transgender Week) – seven days of food, fun, learning, and entertainment for everyone – regardless of how you identity. Come celebrate the original transgender week. The full schedule can be found here.

Spooky Bear Weekend – The bear community celebrates around Halloween every year at this week of fun events. It includes cocktail parties, a meet and greet, themed parties and even a ‘Bearlesque’ show!

Halloween – A weekend of frightful fun in Provincetown is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween! Put together your best costume and come enjoy fun for the entire family.

November

Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument – each year the Pilgrim Monument is lit. As their website says, this is to “honor those throughout our world who do not enjoy the acceptance and peace we are thankful for.”

Mr. New England Leather – This fun event each year celebrates the leather community and crowns a new Mr. New England Leather.

Thanksgiving Weekend – What better place to celebrate Thanksgiving than where the Pilgrims first landed?

Annual Pilgrim Trot – a healthy, annual event that raises money for a local Cape Cod charity while having a lot of fun.

December

Holly Folly – a great way to get into the holiday spirit with shopping, fun, parties, and more!

Outer Cape Chorale Concert – celebrate beautiful singing in one of your favorite spots.

First Light – ring in the new year in Provincetown with celebrations all around town.

Cancel Policy

April, May, June, September & October – You must cancel 7 days before the date of arrival, or you will forfeit your deposit.

July & August – You must cancel 14 days before the date of arrival, or you will forfeit your deposit.

Check-In – 3:00 pm
Check-Out – 11:00 am

Pet Policy

Breakwater Hotel welcomes you and your dog for an additional $40 per dog per night (plus applicable taxes). Please call the hotel directly to register your dog in advance. Service Animals must register with the hotel; however, there is no additional fee.
